Tizian Rein is a German architecture student, and he is currently participating in an exchange program at ETH Zürich. At his home institution, the Technical University Munich, he worked as a student assistant for the Professorship of Digital Fabrication under Prof. Dr. Kathrin Dörfler. During this time, he engaged in projects focused on large-scale collaborative robotic assemblies and additive manufacturing while expanding his knowledge in computational design.
After joining ETH Zürich, Tizian began working as a student assistant at Gramazio Kohler Research in 2024, contributing to several projects. Initially, he focused on testing and preparing collaborative robots for student applications within the "Coding Architecture II" lecture. Later, his responsibilities expanded to support large-scale Earth additive manufacturing projects in the Robotic Fabrication Lab. Additionally, he has been actively involved in testing and documenting workflows for Compas XR, a platform to advance the application of extended reality (XR) technologies in research and teaching. |
