Diploma Project in cooperation with Prof. Annette Spiro
In his diploma project Nik Werenfels developed a digital design tool for traditional reciprocal frame structures. It enables the architect to generate reciprocal frame structures that adapt to the form of the design and the structural loads it has to carry. The reciprocal frame system is a load bearing system known for a long time Already Leonardo da Vinci did research on it. The digital design tool expands the range of possible design solutions with this system and thus the range of its application. In the second phase of the diploma a design for a temporary open air theater was created.
