Room-acoustical information, ETH Zurich, 2006-2008
Research project
This interdisciplinary research project deals with the informing of materials with differentiated spatial and sound-aesthetic properties. On the examples of a series of prototypical building parts, the potential of informed materials for specifically acoustic spatial design in architecture. The prototypes will be produced exclusively on the research installation with the milling robot. Subsequently, the acoustic properties of the fabricated building elements will be measured and evaluated.
Research collaboration with the Institut für Computermusik und Soundtechnologie at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater (ICST) in Zurich is planned. Jürgen Strauss, a renowned expert in the field of sound design, will accompany the project for the ICST.
