Ivan Bagaturiya is a computational architect with a strong focus on digital fabrication, emerging technologies, and interdisciplinary design.
He is currently working as a research and teaching assistant at Gramazio Kohler Research, where he contributes to the Studio Foundations course for first-year architecture students at ETH Zurich, focusing on digital tools, design strategies, and technical workflows.
Ivan completed both his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Architecture at ETH Zurich. During his studies, he was actively involved in academic and applied research across various ETH chairs and initiatives. He also co-curated an ETH exhibition at the Kunsthalle Zürich and is part of the impact.build team.
Driven by curiosity and a quick grasp of new tools, Ivan moves fluidly between domains, from fabrication and electronics to music and visual design. His approach bridges architecture, technology, and hands-on making, with a particular interest in how computational tools can enrich both design processes and architectural education.
