Elina Stähli is currently pursuing her bachelor's degree in architecture at ETH Zurich. Her passion for mathematics and the technical aspects of design led her to Gramazio Kohler Research, where she finds inspiration in the potential of parametric methods to enhance sustainability. With a clear focus on the essentials and a forward-thinking mindset, she explores ideas that combine economic, social, and ecological efficiency to shape an inclusive and future-oriented world.
Her work engages with fundamental questions of our time. How can we build in ways that are both sustainable and affordable? What defines architecture that is socially and economically accessible? How can contemporary technologies help make creative and abstract ideas more feasible through efficient realization? She also reflects on a deeper question: what aspects of design can be entrusted to computation, and what must remain in human hands?
Through an interplay of logic, technology, and intuition, Elina explores architecture as a living reflection of the challenges we face and the solutions we strive to create.
